Many of the arias presented on this CD are drawn from the large-scale oratorios performed in the Imperial Chapel. The music, much of it recorded here for the first time, is by established composers such as Caldara and Fux as well as lesser-known figures like Ziani, Porsile, Tuma and Casati. Alongside countertenor voice and trombones, the ensemble also includes bassoon, violins and continuo, thereby creating an attractive variation of color and timbre throughout the recording.

Tracks:
1.1 Dal Limbo Già Ti Chiama - Alex Potter
1.2 Alma Redemptoris Mater - Alex Potter
1.3 Sonata a 3 in D minor, E68 - Ensemble la Fontaine
1.4 Così a Fiume - Alex Potter
1.5 Sonata a 3 in a Minor, K365 - Ensemble la Fontaine
1.6 Se Potesse la Mia Mente - Alex Potter
1.7 Sonata for 2 Violins and 2 Trombones in E minor - Ensemble la Fontaine
1.8 Languire, Morire - Alex Potter
1.9 Sonata a 3 in D minor, K379 - Ensemble la Fontaine
1.10 La Sovrana Eterna Mente - Alex Potter
1.11 Salve Regina - Alex Potter
1.12 Fuggo D'una in Altra Selva - Alex Potter

Audio Sample:
All soundclips are provided by Tidal and are for illustrative purposes only.
