Talking Elephant Records is delighted to announce the release of Gryphon Live A Sonic Tonic. This highly anticipated album is the band's first live release, the majority of which was recorded at their show at The Junction Cambridge on 28 November 2023. Combined, the two discs represent the entire concert in performance order. Disc One kicks off the journey through the Gryphon catalogue taking the listener back to the familiarity of the band's eponymous first album (released in 1973). Fast forward to 2018 with a track from comeback album Reinvention, before bringing everything right up to date with songs from Get Out of My Father's Car (2020), their most recent release. Disc Two travels through a mix of new and old material including tracks from Red Queen To Gryphon Three (1974) before returning the expedition full circle to the first album, with the medieval romp of Estampie, as an encore piece.
Tracks:
1.1 Kemp’s Jig
1.2 The Astrologer
1.3 Dumbe Dum Chit
1.4 A Bit Of Music By Me
1.5 The Brief History of the Bassoon
1.6 Normal Wisdom from the swamp
