As a tribute to some of the artists that inspired him, Nordal looks to the past, performing an amazingly accurate recreation of "Willow Weep for Me" by Art Tatum plus an original arrangement in the style of Fats Waller, and more to the present in nods to Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett. In these and other tracks, Nordal in no way mocks the musical mannerisms of the masters, but demonstrates a fondly reverential approach to their greatness. "This is mature music of highest intelligence and emotional power and can be deeply enjoyed by anyone willing to really listen." Cone Johnson, KACU. Originally released in 2001.
